Vemos a la Virgen María en el momento de su muerte rodeada por los Doce Apóstoles. Viste un lujoso manto. En la parte superior del cuadro, la Santísima Trinidad la espera en el cielo. Después de morir fue llevada al cielo en cuerpo y alma, es lo que los católicos llamamos la Asunción de la Virgen.

Transit of the Virgin Mary.

We see the Virgin Mary at the moment of her death surrounded by the Twelve Apostles. She wears a luxurious cloak. At the top of the painting, the Holy Trinity awaits her in heaven. After she died, she was taken to heaven body and soul. It is what we Catholics call the Assumption of the Virgin.
